Our mission is to be a resource that works for the betterment of the Russell County business community. We strive to promote, encourage, and develop local businesses and business leaders, promote tourism, and foster a sense of pride in Russell County. The Russell County Chamber meets on the third Tuesday of each month at noon. The Chamber strives to keep the latest demographics and statistical data available for anyone who may need special information. The Board is comprised of fifteen Directors elected from our membership. The Board sets the policies which govern the operation and activities of the Chamber. Volunteer committees are established to accomplish the organization’s goals and objectives.
Activities of the Chamber are supported by friendly, professional staff who manage all Chamber operations.
Most of the money necessary to maintain the Chamber’s office and carry on the activities of its committees comes from membership investments. These investments paid annually, make up the membership and consists of individuals, businesses, industries, and professionals from different walks of life. Since the Chamber is not a government agency, it does not receive tax support. Therefore, membership is vital to carry out the goals and objectives of The Russell County Chamber of Commerce.
